Hi everyone,

We are heading to Bermuda in May 2011 and I just noticed that Norwegian Gem will be docked with Summit at King's Wharf for the same three days. Does anyone know how the ships will be positioned while docked there? We have booked our first balcony, and an AFT at that :)

We are wondering what we will be staring at the three days we are docked in King's Wharf.

Thanks so much everyone!!

Both will be docked at the Dockyard, one at Kings Wharf and one at Heritage Wharf. The 2011 docking information hasn't been published yet, but based on the 2010 schedule, the Norwegian Gem, which will be replacing the Norwegian Dawn on this itinerary, should be docked at Heritage Wharf and the Summit at Kings Wharf.

The ships can dock facing either way, and often change from week to week depending on the need to do lifeboat testing or maintenance. There have even been reports of the ships changing their orientation during their stay. The bottom line is that you can't be sure which way your ship will dock, and it's also fairly common for them to be docked "back to back" meaning both ships' aft balconies will be facing each other.

We were on the Dawn last week and we docked at Heritage and were butt-to-butt with the Summit docked at King's Wharf. We were docked port side in but, as nj says, that's subject to change with each docking. I asked the captain at our meet-and-greet which way we'd be docking and he told us port-side-in for the entire stay.
