Serenade June 27th Cruise

Recommended Posts

I'm not sure if I'm violating protocol here, but the June 27th Serenade cruise is stuck at 23 people registed for the Meet and Mingle. We need 2 more people to register - so if you're out there and haven't registered yet, follow the Meet and Mingle link from Cruise Critic website and register! According to a recent review of the Serenade, Royal Caribbean gave everyone a gift, there were door prizes, the CD was there, plus RCI provided appetizers and drinks (non-alcoholic) (in other words - FREE PARTY from RCI!!!) Not to mention all the other cool cruise critic members that will be there :p.

Also, check in to our Meet and Mingle thread and say 'hi'!

Thanks!

Don't see why it should violate any protocol. CC seems to actively encourage M&M signups. They really are pretty fun, especially if you have been communucating with the group for awhile. We had over 60 people on Brilliance a couple years ago. In addition to the token gifts from RCCL there were drawings for door prizes - mostly RCCL branded things like shirts, bags, etc... Plus cake and punch. As a group we also did a small gift exchange of items representing where we were from. We brought a little snow globe and some wild rice.

I think you need 25 for RCCL to do the party. All you need is your booking number to sign up. It's free. We're working now on getting more people for the 2-12-11 sailing signed up.

Good luck, a nice m&m can really add to a cruise. Unfortunately on many of the Serende's routes the event is scheduled for 5pm on a port day which I'm told makes attendance light.

From what I've read from some recent reviews of the Serenade, they've been held on the first 'sea' day, so hopefully they continue with that so we'll all be around! I agree, it should be a good time.

Surely there's someone else out there who hasn't signed up yet! We've got a small group, but lots of quality there!! It will be lots of fun. Ours IS on the sea day at 5 o'clock, so should be no problem. Hope to hear from someone soon.

Thanks, Andy, for giving this a try!

We struggled with getting 25 for our M&M recently. Then about two weeks before the cruise, we ended up with 53 people! It seems a lot of people don't join the roll call until the last minute or book late and then check out the roll call.

The M&M was great...it was at 5:30 on the first sea day (which for us was the first formal night, so some of us had come dressed up). The CD was there, and we all got a little note pad/purse thing to wear around your neck. Iit has a place for your sea pass card, driver's license, a note pad and pen. They gave out door prizes, which were pretty good. We had some appetizer snack things and non alocholic drinks. It was great meeting everyone after so many months of chatting on the roll call.

I hope you get your 25.

If you're on afcarter's sailing and want to register for the M&M, here's the link: https://secure.royalcaribbean.com/ccEntry.do

Note: when you get to your cabin, be sure to look through all the stuff on the dresser; that's where your invitation will be. Take that with you for the door prizes. I tossed mine thinking it was more of the junk they left. It's index card size...don't miss it.

Yeah and I never had to enter any store, and it guarantees she'll like my outfit. Win win.

LOL!!!! Guarantees SHE will like your outfit -- I love that! Now hat store can certainly back up its guarantees!

WOW !

I never knew about the M&M.

I just signed up my group of 7 for the 8/1 sailing on the Serenade.

It pays to READ all the threads on this board.

THANKS !

Hope the 6/27 sailing works out for everybody,

Mitch..........

I'll help with a bump and a question...

Comments above about it being on first sea day. On our itinerary first sea day is on the last day. Terrible time to finally meet everyone. So it will probably be the 5pm on a port day thing. Hopefully not on a formal night too. Sort of wondering when they would be likely to do it.

Also, on Brilliance we informally all met for sailaway wearing blue arm bands for ID. That was a great way to start the cruise but with 8:30pm or so sailaways on Serenade that would not work as well. We also did some casino events with the M&M group. So if not enough for an RCCL party then there are still plenty of options to meet.

Thanks Mitch, at least I'm glad to have helped you and your 8/1 cruise out! Good luck!

Sequim - we are planning on meeting at the Sky Bar at 330 the day we board, so yes, even though we may not hit the M&M, we at least will have the chance to say hello..........oh, and maybe have a drink or two! I think the identifying articles are Mardi Gras beads! Thanks for the bump.......

Hi Jane! I just saw this and thought, "I can't believe this! We're going to be on THREE cruises together now!" But then I thought about it, and we will be boarding Serenade as your leave from your b2b. Hope you have a great trip!

Well, with a few days to spare, we qualified for the M&M! All those out there, be sure to check the ROLL CALL forums for your ship and sailing and register for the Meet and Mingle...seems many people aren't aware that RCI will throw you a party if you get 25 people....good times!

YAY!!! I'm glad y'all made it. Be sure to look for your invitation on your dresser when you get to your cabin. Take the little card with you; that's what they use for the door prizes.

Have fun and enjoy your cruise!
