HELP please! GENOA???

Hi -- I am researching possibilities in Genoa.

We like the do it on your own thing. Does anyone know where Navigator of the Seas on July 19th will dock.. or better yet WHAT it is actually called???

 

Trying to see how close the car rental agencies are using google.

 

Or , does the train interest you more?

any comments would be great

We docked at Ponte Mille with Ocean Village in 2007. This is a purpose built cruise terminal and there were certainly car rental agencies on-site.

 

However, it is only a 10 minute walk to Genoa Principe station, where we boarded a train to Santa Margherita Ligure. A lovely little town with a nice harbour. It was a 50 minute journey costing 2.20 Euros each way (www.trenitalia.com for times). From here, we took a bus to Portofino, which took 20 minutes and cost 1 Euro, each way.

 

We are returning again, this August, but may take the boat from the Genoa Aquarium to Potofino (www.liguriaviamare.it)
