Roll Call titles.

Is there a place you can search for a roll call by ship and date.

I am aware of the roll call boards. BUT the titles seem to go all over the place as far as date format.

Some examples are:

10/18/2010,

10-18-2010

October 18

Oct 18

etc.

While others have ship name and other things and maybe a date.

Can there be a standardization of the titles in some way to make them easier to search for and find?

Thanks to the mods.

.....but another thing they used to have were 'TAGS' for threads. You could add up to 3 "TAGS" to a thread so I would put 3 different date formats as tags for people to search on. I can't find out how to do it anymore though. Did they take that option away?

People still put the ship name in the title,

but it is unnecessary as each ship as its

own roll call forum.

The group on my upcoming cruise,

as a listing on another board,

can't say the name, here is the hint "I'm a poet, but don't know it".

Rhymes with that, which I mention for the benefit

of the mods, so they can see that it can be done.

Anyway, it has a form/function for the cruise date

which makes it very easy.

Titles are fun, but if there were a standardized

date format form at the front of the title, that would

be good.

Oh my goodness...I have wished for the same thing since I first went to the roll call board.

Dates in all kinds of formats, ship name first/last, destinations, ports, etc. mixed into it all.

All this is a good reason there are often duplicate threads that are later combined.

.

That was another of my points, but I did not put it in the original.

Thanks all for the support.

Another possible solution would would be another "table" of some sort that would list every sailing of a ship and participants could just go under thread and post. Kinda like the ship names are locked and we go under that for each sailing...???

Hey Mods, etc. Can we get some help with that improvement??

Disclaimer: Im no programmer and have no idea how hard this would be but cant imagine it being too hard in todays times...
