lovebug01 - come on over! There are a bunch of us going on this cruise, with most of us traveling beforehand to see some of inland Alaska.

Gee, NN - you keep asking for this, I guess I'll *HAVE* to post!:D

 

That's the plan, anyway. I get so much good information from the people here before I'm going, that it's just a good way to "pay it forward". We're bringing the netbook computer on this trip, so while I don't plan to go online while on the ship, I'll be able to keep some notes and get something posted shortly after we return...

I can't help it .... I'm so excited!! Will be bringing the Netbook with me too.... was hoping to be up and running with an Ipad but at the current cost unlikely....

I'm waiting for (at least) Generation 2 of the iPad before I dive in. Call me a late adopter of technology - I just like the kinks worked out before I start!

 

Anything in particular you're looking to hear about? We're doing "Cruisetour #1", so that's:

 

Fairbanks 3 nights (1 with the tour, but we're adding 2 more on our own)

Denali 2 nights

Anchorage 1 night

Seward to Vancouver 7-night on Radiance

Seattle 1 night (extension on our own)

 

Excursions:

 

Fairbanks: Alaska Museum, LARS, North Pole, Pipeline, and Riverboat Discovery.

 

Denali: Tundra Wilderness Tour

 

Anchorage: SegTours of Anchorage

 

Juneau: Helicopter dogsled (keeping my fingers crossed on the weather!)

 

Skagway: Chilkoot Charters White Pass Railroad (7.5 hour tour)

 

Icy Strait Point: F.I.S.H.E.S. whale watch

 

Ketchikan: Totem Bight & Lumberjack show

 

Vancouver: City tour, then Amtrak to Seattle

 

Seattle: Pike's Market, Space Needle, maybe Duck Tour.

 

I think we'll be busy people based on all of those plans!
