UpstateJintsFan Posted February 5, 2005 #1 Share Posted February 5, 2005 either from the cruise port or a port of call? We almost missed departure once when we arrived after the scheduled departure time, but fortunately we had booked the air thru the cruise line and they waited for us. Ever since I have wondered what the options are, particularly from a port of call. Obviously you can fly to the next stop, but a 1 way flight for a family of 4 would be quite a hit. Can you just hire a fast boat to take you out to the ship?
TERRY223 Posted February 6, 2005 #2 Share Posted February 6, 2005 would stop the ship to take the family aboard, they don't even stop to let the pilot off, or on for that matter. I think the cost to fly to the next port o/call, would surely cure the "tardiness" problem.
Krazy Kruizers Posted February 6, 2005 #3 Share Posted February 6, 2005 Have seen passengers miss the ship in several ports. Have also seen passengers pay small boat owners to rush them out to the ship and watched them climb up the rope to get on the ship as the ship moved out to sea. And also saw a crew member miss the ship in St Thomas - she was fired when we got back to Florida.
