Just Back From Our B2B on the Serenade

Just back from the Serenade 6/6 - 6/20 B2B. After reading all the great reviews of this ship we were really excited about cruising on her. Well I have to be honest. It was better than advertised. We had a great time!

 

I will try to answer any questions.

 

 

We are doing the B2B on Serenade next April. Will be our 3rd time on that ship. Absolutely love it. Glad you had a great time. Ship is so beautiful and service is out of this world on that ship.

We are doing a B2B on Serenade in Oct. What did you do on turnaround day and how did the ship handle it? Also how many B2B's were on the ship with you? Can't wait to get on our favorite ship again!!

We did a Serenade B2B in February. Loved it. Loved it so much, we're going back and doing it all over this February.

 

Turnaround day is a cinch if you have the same cabin for both weeks. Just go to Guest Relations the day before turnaround day, and they will issue you a new Keycard for the next week. They close out the first weeks's onboard account, and start a new one for the next week. If you want to get off the ship in San Juan on turnaround day, they give you a special "in-transit" card to leave and return with.

Can you tell be a little about how the process between the cruises was handled for the consecutive cruisers? What time did you have to get off of the ship, did they serve you a special lunch, did you get any special treatment, etc...? Thanks!

We are doing our first B2B next Oct. Very excited and would love to hear more. Our second week our DD,SIL and GS ( his first cruise ) will be joining us. GS is so excited. He will be 8 yrs old by then.

We had 30 or so B2Bers with us. The turnaround was so easy. We met at the gangway at 10:00, they punch out our first week card and we were set to go on our way. We received our seapass card for the second leg on the night before. We had a little get together in the Safari Club with drinks and snacks while we talked about how the turnaround would be handled. They also offered a 2 for 1 for Portonifo on the first night.

They did serve a special lunch in the dinning room and it was pretty good.

Going to on the Serenade from July 25th to August 1st. This will be our 3rd cruise and were excited. This will be my first time in a balconey room, I am looking forward to enjoying it. Would like to hear about any great excursions.

 

We did the St. Lucia Tour with Spencer Ambrose and recommend him very highly. He'll show you all that beautiful island has to offer and he is a fantastic guy.

 

We did river tubing in Dominica nad had a great time. The drive to and from is very interesting, but it was fun.

 

In St. Marteen we did Bernard's Tour and had Joe as our driver. It was a very good tour and Joe was great.

 

On the other stops we did mainly beach days and they all had beautiful beaches. We took a taxi to all of them and the prices were very good.

 

BTW, we also cured our PCD by booking the Oasis for next June while onboard. It really does work!

did you us the luggage valet or if not did they offer it to you. heard it was stoped at end of may due to problems in san juan. i have asked several returnees about it b ut none have used it . we used princess's service in march and it was great. only having to deal with your carry-ons.

We did not use it. Not sure if it was available or not.

Were your reservations linked. (did you have the same booking numbers for both cruises?)

We are going on a b2b in October on Radiance. Unfortunately we didn't make our b2b reservations at the same time so we have 2 different booking numbers.

Will we still be able to get our keycards at the Guest Relations? Or..will we have to get off and come back on as a new sailing?

You get 2 booking numbers regardless. You shouldn't have a problem.
