livinforcruisin Posted June 28, 2010 #4 Share Posted June 28, 2010 Hi I don't know if this helps or not, we have flown into Miami twice now and via Princess they have put us up at the Miami Intercontinental, we met my sister and brother in law who had driven from Canada and they stayed there too and said it wasn't too pricey. Then about 6 or 8 buses turned up the next day to transport all the cruisers to the ship............It was a lovely hotel but about 30 minutes from FL cruise terminal. you might just be able to mingle with the crowd and hop onto one of the buses too ;)
deej696 Posted June 28, 2010 #5 Share Posted June 28, 2010 We stayed at The Epic a few weeks back and it was awesome. Its ranked #1 on Tripadvisor for a reason. Great rooms, great view, awesome pool, and the restaurant was definitely a hit...
flygirlb737 Posted June 29, 2010 #6 Share Posted June 29, 2010 We stayed at the 'Wave' in South Beach. Booked it on Priceline. It was fine, included continental breakfast and close to beach, shops and restaurants. Not spectacular, but we were out exploring most of the time. It was an Art deco type place, clean sheets, clean bathroom, TV with cable, walk in wardrobe and safe. It was probably a 35min drive to Ft L, which we just booked a shuttle bus. We stayed there for 3 nights before our cruise (flew in from Australia).
rdsqrl Posted June 29, 2010 #7 Share Posted June 29, 2010 The Marriott Biscayne Bay is nice with rooms overlooking the cruise piers. Second this. Also like the Colonnade Hotel in Coral Gables.
