Carnival Glory - Just back

I would do the Trolley tour. They only had 2 left on the one we wanted, so we went on the second to last one. It turns out that the one we wanted, and the one that we went on got to the Falls when it was reversing. It was fun, and our tour guide was amazing. I suggest doing that one.

I heard mixed reviews of the excursions that family members on our cruise last week took. The Irving Park excursion in Saint John got three thumbs down and two thumbs up. The Tall Ship in Halifax got a unanimous thumbs up, but the "lobsters & lighthouses" excursion in Halifax was a loser all the way around. They saw the same three lighthouses we saw on the Glory on the way into harbour and then went to the same restaurant on the waterfront that the rest of our group (who just walked around town) went to for lunch.

Looks like I'm going on this now...

Does the ship feel "crowded"?

How were the massage specials in port?

How were the pools?

How was the entertainment/comedians/shows?

Do they have a 24 hour pizza and well as room service?

Also looks like we're goign with mytime or anytime dining, any experiences with it? I appreciate it, Glory looks like a nice ship!!

The ship did not feel crowded. Because the weather was so hot there were definitely more people out on the Lido than you would normally find on a Canada run, including chair hogs, but never really felt crowded.

There were spa specials. I don't remember exactly what they were, but the prices were still pretty high.

The Glory is a great ship. IMHO much nicer than the Triumph that we sailed this run on last year.

The only place it was really crowded was the 5th floor (casino, ebony cabaret, some photo places...) It was crowded the formal night on the 5th floor because of the photo places, and the comedians were in the Ebony Cabaret.

I have no idea

The pools were okay. Crowded with kids (obviously). As were the hot tubs because it is cold on the ocean.

Entertainment was amzing. Comedians were hilarious (as was Jorge). Shows were spectacular. Be warned: do not sit in the front few rows if you do not like pyrotechnics, especially during the Just Rock show. I would sit at least 5 rows back. But if you aren't afraid of them, sit in the front. The dancers come into the two walkways (but only to about 7 rows back.)

Pizza and Room service are 24 hours. The pizza bar is in the back under the retractable sun thingy, and at around 9 pm on the first night it was really hot in there from the sun heating it up.

Have fun :D
