Magic Fountain in Barcelona

We'll go to Barcelona in September, 3-day pre-cruise. DD (9) is very interested in Magic Fountain near Montjuic. I know in September the starting time is either 9 or 9:30pm. Is it safe to take Metro or bus there at that hour? We'll stay in Barri Gotic.

Barcelona public transportation is quite safe .. with one caveat: pickpockets type robberies are a problem there. Mugging? VERY unlikely.

 

So, be careful to protect your wallet, camera, etc. Except for that, no problems

We just came back from Barcelona last week--went to the Magic Fountain without any problems. There were tons of people on the subway trying to get to the same place. We felt very safe although we knew that pickpockets would be an issue so we did keep a close eye on that. Have fun!

What metro stop would you get off at for the Magic Fountain? Or is it walkable from Plaza Catalunya?

I think you want the Placa Espanya stop. It's quite a ways from Placa Catalunya.
