mo&fran Posted July 26, 2010 #26 Share Posted July 26, 2010 My wife goes went on a girl's cruise on RC and I ended up having those credits even though I had never been on a RC ship. The very first time I sailed on an RC ship, I was a diamond, not because of my wifes points, we are Elite on Celebrity , and that transferred to C&A. It wasn't like I had never cruised before, just never on a RC ship.
Mark_K Posted July 26, 2010 #27 Share Posted July 26, 2010 Too bad Princess doesn't do this. With them you can take 5 one day cruises and be Platinum. If you take a 14 day cruise you only get one credit. Doesn't seem right. Good luck finding those five one day cruises. :) Anyway, Princess has so few cruises less than seven days, it isn't an issue with them like it is with RCI. RCI has more 3/4 day cruises per month than Princess has in the next 18 months.
ASeaPrincess1 Posted July 26, 2010 #28 Share Posted July 26, 2010 You're kidding, right? So if we have sailed 3x on RCCL in suites so 6 CC and now we take our children with us for the first time in our suite, we will all have 8 cruise credits each, including the kids?? Wow, that's the deal of a lifetime for my preteens. When they are 18, they'll be Diamond and off to a great start with the rest of their lives. But then again, by the time they are 30, there will probably be Diamond+++++ and they won't be able to get into the concierge lounge. ;) Katherine I am Diamond; by default, DH is also, even though I have been on more cruises than him. However, our sons who are over 18 and still live at home, are only Gold, since they have only been on two RCI cruises.
