Never had the experience of freestyle dining or whatever the other lines call their similar dining experience. Always had set dining times so we knew our table number and just wandered around till we found it.. Waiter and Assistant waiter showed up as we were sitting...No head waiter/maitre'd to be seen or heard

Off topic sorry but am I looking at your sig right are you doing 3 cruises in a row?? If so WOW! Good for you!

I was so glad the tips were prepaid until I started reading these boards on the subject and learned other people don't see it that way. Now I am still confused but know I will definitly tip the staff at the kids club and have money available to tip others if it seems warrented.:D

Why still confused? Ask away and we'll try to clear it up for you.

While its more complicated and confusing to many of us, to keep it SIMPLE those who are a part of the tip/DSC pool are those who service more or less everyone aboard...

Those who service some, i.e., the butlers, spa employees, and the kids crew staff aren't apart of the tip/DSC pool..

Everyone has to eat and have their cabins cleaned....
