Leslie14 Posted February 7, 2005 #1 Share Posted February 7, 2005 My husband and I will be sailing abourd the Sea Princess on the 10-day cruise from New York to Quebec City and were wondering if the port or starboard side is preferrable. We are tentatively booked in B741. A very aft balcony cabin on the starboard side. Any opinions or recommendations about this location?
Krazy Kruizers Posted February 7, 2005 #2 Share Posted February 7, 2005 Did a similar cruise on the Maasdam a few years ago and just this past May we went on the Maasdam from Ft Lauderdale to Montreal. We were on the port side and saw more of the coastline whenever the ship was approaching the ports.
kitty9 Posted February 7, 2005 #3 Share Posted February 7, 2005 It doesn't matter when you're at sea because you're too far out to see anything. When in port it doesn't matter either because you don't know how the ship will pull into the ports. The direction of the ship in port depends on other ships and your arrival time. The only time port or starboard matters is when you're cruising Alaska. Then it's starboard for cruising north and port if you're cruising south.
