Grand or Ruby for Mediterranean?

I read the Grand will get the beloved International Cafe, Vines, and piazza in April 2011. Those and upgrades throughout the ship make me wonder if sailing on her or Ruby two years after drydock will matter. Ruby got better reviews on Cruise Critic and I wondered if that is because she has the IC and Vines or is generally superior overall. If you sailed on both ships, do you see a way one ship is better than the other that drydock can't fix such as shorter lines or fewer kids?

I know many people belive itinerary is more important than the ship but the way I see it if you are only going to worry about the destinations, you might as well just take trains, buses, and taxis to go from one city to another in each country. Obviously, thre reason to take a cruise is the ship, not the destination, because there are other ways to get to different parts of each Mediterranean nation. That is why I am only worried about ships.
