jaspertl Posted February 7, 2005 #1 Share Posted February 7, 2005 We're planning a cruise and land tour in Alaska for 13 days starting June 5 - we would love to play a round of golf. We'll have some time on the way down from Denali, we'll be in Seward area for 3 days and then our cruise portion will take us to Skagway, Ketchikan and Juneau. (Can't play in Skagway as we have the Float plane booked. Does anyone have suggestions on the best place to arrange to play - we would need rental clubs. Thanks! There's 4 of us Hi- You note you will have some time on your way down from Denali---are you starting your tour in Fairbanks? If so, Princess offered a golf excursion in Fairbanks, though I am sure you can play even if you are not with Princess. You might look at the Princess website and see if the tour is still available. I don't recall them making it out to be championship claiber golf, but would be kind of neat to play at 11PM with the sun still up!
Yukon Posted February 7, 2005 #3 Share Posted February 7, 2005 The most complete list of Alaska golf courses can be found at http://www.golfguideweb.com/alaska/alaska.html None of them are anything to write home about, mostly due to the fact that our very short season doesn't justify high-end course design, but many of them such as the Fairbanks Golf & Country Club are very good.
