gypsyyve Posted July 8, 2010 #1 Share Posted July 8, 2010 Hi 4 of us will be doing Rome independently from a Princess Cruise. We are there on a Sunday. I believe that the Vatican Museum is closed on a Sunday- does this mean that the Sistine Chapel can not be visited as my understanding was this is included in the Vatican Museum entry which we were going to purchase online. Are there any other tickets we need to purchase online before we go. Thanks for your help. yvonne
euro cruiser Posted July 8, 2010 #2 Share Posted July 8, 2010 Yes, the Sistine Chapel is part of the Vatican Museums and is therefore closed on Sundays, except for the last Sunday of each month when the museums are open and free (therefore no ticket needed).
