fitters Posted July 8, 2010 #1 Share Posted July 8, 2010 Is there an area to sit and enjoy the water and sun if one doesn't snorkel at Klein Bonaire? I have someone that wants to snorkel, but I don't. Just wondering if there are facilities to use there for non-snorkelers. Thanks in advance. markstudy Posted July 9, 2010 #2 Share Posted July 9, 2010 The diving was so good I never came out of the water. But I do have a photo. And I can say the beach was a beautiful white sand beach. My wife came out of the water for 30 minutes before getting back in. There is nothing there. It's just a beautiful natural beach. It can get windy in the afternoon. If I heard one complaint, it was that a portable little wind blocker would have been nice to have. The folks laying on the beach said they had sand blowing on them late in the afternoon there is a empty hut where our boat guide left a jug of punch and handed-out some diving gear before driving back in his boat for the next set of passengers. The other side of the island had a few more bushes, they were tall and big looked like some kind of grape leaf. They made for some shape but not very much. sharks48 Posted July 9, 2010 #3 Share Posted July 9, 2010 The spot where you go ashore at KB has nothing but a tiny "bus stop"-looking thingy. That's it. There will be someone there selling water and punch, etc. No umbrellas or "facilities" or lunch, etc. No shade, either. It IS a gorgeous spot to snorkel. If you want to lay IN THE SUN and enjoy the beach, you can.
