stooth Posted July 9, 2010 #1 Share Posted July 9, 2010 Could anyone tell me whether the partitions between balconies can be opened? We are sailing with friends and would like to have room for all of us to lounge together. Thanks in advance!!
Friscorays Posted July 9, 2010 #2 Share Posted July 9, 2010 Yes. Let your cabin attendent know and it will be opened for you. It is done with a special key.

Aquahound Posted July 9, 2010 #4 Share Posted July 9, 2010 You will still have a half-partition when it is open. The divider folds back on itself.
CCJack Posted July 11, 2010 #5 Share Posted July 11, 2010 Yes, I think every balcony divider can be opened (half way partition.) We opened ours in our group of two rooms. It worked well. In my opinion there is no need for adjoining cabins, because any cabins can become adjoining. There are certainly advantages to opening the divider, but there are still a few cautions... the sliding doors do not lock - so people from your group can come and go in your room. Typically this would not be a problem since you know the people. another caution, if you like to leave your drapes open so you can see the ocean, when you sleep (I do) then expect no privacy, your travel group could innocently walk by, etc. Unfortunately, you cannot close the divider yourself, you need to ask the cabin steward to do it.
