what time to embark?

A lot of folks go early; we've gone around noon both times and had absolutely no wait. Rooms are usually ready around 1pm but we like to sneak back and drop off our carry ons - we get a few dirty looks/comments from some of the room stewards as we trek down the hall but I don't feel guilty because we dash in, stick stuff in the closet and dash out = no inconvenience to the room steward trying to do his/her work.

I would never put carry ons in the room before the rooms are cleared for new passengers. My carry on has stuff I can't do without (that's why it is in the carry on) and the rooms are not locked during the turn around process. Anyone can go in and take your stuff.
