No cost beach at Freeport?

Hello,

Anyone know of a beach we can hit while in Freeport that won't cost more than a cab ride to get there? (And has public bathrooms and maybe a place to grab a bite?)

Thanks!

All the beaches in Freeport are free. If you want chairs, swimming pool, or other amenities like that, you'll have to pay a bit.

Taino Beach has public bathrooms and at least in the afternoon hours Tony Macaroni's Conch Experience is open. Junkanoo Beach Club next door has food, as does a little conch stand where you can get fresh conch salad. If you walk down the street a ways into Smith Point, there are a few other more native places with very nice people.

Many people take the shuttle to Our Lucaya. You can use the beach for free, but if you want chairs, pool and bathroom use then it's $20pp.

Xanadu is an option. It has only one beach bar, and then if you walk down the beach a bit I understand there is a guy doing BBQ in the woods that is good. It is a bit closer than the others, and if you don't mind that you might be the only one there, then it is somewhere you can relax.

Island Seas Resort has a nice beach and a restaurant where you can buy food. If you buy food, then you can use the bathrooms.

Coral Beach Hotel is on an excellent beach, you can rent chairs for $3.00, and there is a beach bar for food and bathrooms.

Just some ideas, there are more.
