gary23 Posted July 12, 2010 #1 Share Posted July 12, 2010 Hi, We are going on our first cruise in August aboard Ventura. We would like to visit the Nou Camp while we are in Barcelona - what are the pro's and con's of going on the official P&O excursion or is it better to arrange it ourself? Many thanks
LibraLass41 Posted July 12, 2010 #2 Share Posted July 12, 2010 I believe the Hop On Hop Off tour bus stops there, so you could take the tourist bus and 'hop off' there for a while and carry on sight seeing after?
bettyboo Posted July 13, 2010 #3 Share Posted July 13, 2010 i've just come back from cruise including a stop in Barcelona - the hop on hop off bus is good but not that quick (due to traffic & huge numbers of tourists). To get to the nou camp you'd need to get on the red line then change to the blue line. The queues were massive (though there were a lot of buses) if you are pressed for time and there are a few of you it may be quicker/cheaper to get a taxi (bus touristic was 22 euros per adult). it is a beautiful city - have a wonderful time. BrianI Posted July 13, 2010 #4 Share Posted July 13, 2010 The quickest and cheapest way to get around if you only want to go to certain places is to take the underground. There is an undergound station at the bottom of Las Ramblas close to where the shuttle bus drops off. Look for the big "M" (for metro) in red. The hop on/off bus can take ages to get round the circuit and its not cheap at €22. You can get a one way bus/underground ticket for €1.40 or a one day unlimited travel ticket for €6 for zone 1, which covers most of central Barcelona. http://www.tmb.cat/en_US/barcelona/moute/moute.jsp Brian
