Do you have to go right away or can you wait like till that night to give them cash????

you have 24 hours to place your cash. Best time I found to go to the pursers desk is around the dinner hours.

We also do not use a CC or debit card for our onship spending.

I buy funship dollars each pay and use them to pay my account. (its the same as money. You can find these on the carnival gift pages.

We use a credit card for the ease of boarding, but we check the balance of the S&S and pay them off with the traveler's checks. it works for us!

Our next cruise is with 2 oldest grandchildren and we are putting a $100.00 cash of each of their S&S.
