boomonster Posted July 16, 2010 #1 Share Posted July 16, 2010 Was wondering if there was movement from the life boats.Didn't know if they were fixed or sway with the boat hence noise. May seem like a silly question but if theres one right by my balcony I dont want to hear it squeaking all night. If anybody has any insight. It's the Imagination.Thanks. No, the life boats do NOT move unless and until they are needed for use. Hopefully not on your cruise.http://boards.cruisecritic.com/images/icons/icon10.gif
Carolin Posted July 16, 2010 #3 Share Posted July 16, 2010 Life boats are clamped down and do not sway.
dan40 Posted July 16, 2010 #4 Share Posted July 16, 2010 The lifeboats are quite large vessels in their own right. They are powered by diesel engines and weigh many tons. They MUST be firmly affixed in place. Cannot have a multi-ton vessel 'swinging' about.
