Amalfi Coast-Stop or ferry by?

It really depends on what you want to see. When we went to Amalfi, we went for the views of the drive, and took lots of photos (down) of views and scenery. We stopped in Amalfi and wandered a bit and ate, taking photos of laundry hanging out, old people playing checkers, etc. A wee bit of shopping finished the day and we took more photos on the way back. Some people take the back road and go to the towns... I thought the drive was the exciting part.

I think I would enjoy the views from the sea, but in all honesty, it would be my second choice, but if you are not into 'culture' photos, etc, it may be what you want.
