cheaptravel Posted July 16, 2010 #1 Share Posted July 16, 2010 Hi, we would like to spend a couple hours at a nice clean beach in Cozumel that is not All-Inclusive or all-about-water toys-and-kids. Anyone have a suggestion ? Thanks

honeymooners11 Posted July 20, 2010 #5 Share Posted July 20, 2010 Is it easy to get there? Safe? How long/How much is a cab ride there? We are traveling with our 2 children ages 7 months and 3 years old....good choice for them? We just want to be able to take their car seats with us and plunk them next to us while we play in the sand for a couple of hours....would it recommend it for us? Thanks in advance, KT

Thanks in advance, KT It ran $20 one way when we were there. Plenty of cabs. Nice sandy beach to dig in and plenty of a shade, chairs and hammocks. At least there was shade a few years ago. I can't remember if it was pre or post Wilma. :o
Eileen G Posted July 20, 2010 #7 Share Posted July 20, 2010 There is no charge for chairs as long as you buy something from the Bar/resturant. There are showers and changing rooms. If you walk down the beach just a little there is a nice stretch of beach with no development.
Friscorays Posted July 20, 2010 #8 Share Posted July 20, 2010 I posted a couple of recent photographs of Playa Palancar here: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1207229 As per the other poster, cab runs $20 per cab each way.
