travelnut4 Posted July 21, 2010 #1 Share Posted July 21, 2010 I will need connecting rooms on the Freedom, one room for 2 people and one for 3. I see a few on Deck 7 and 8, but more availability midship on Deck 9. I've stayed on Deck 2 and Deck 3 in the past (other ships), as I was unsure of how I would take motion so stayed low and center. Which deck location is better, in your opinion? Is there a significant difference in movement between 7 and 9? The locations on Deck 7 and 8 are a little more aft than midship. Jimnbigd Posted July 21, 2010 #2 Share Posted July 21, 2010 I'd go with something like 7669/7671, or even 6657/6659. I don't think you'll feel much rocking. We didn't on the Voyager of the Seas, and the Freedom of the Seas is even bigger (and less likely to rock fast). However, if you still want low and inside (sounds like baseball), try 2609/2611 or 2613/2615/. I don't think you'd hear much noise from deck 3 above you plus I think there would be a cabin above you on deck 3 and not a public area. I never want to have a public area directly above me -- I would not want a cabin on deck 10 below the pool area or on deck 3 below the casino. travelnut4 Posted July 22, 2010 Author #3 Share Posted July 22, 2010 Thanks for your help Jimnbigd! I don't think I want to stay as low as Deck 2 this time, so am looking at Decks 6-9. I looked at the room combination you mentioned on Deck 6, and they both hold 3-4 people. Will they allow 2 people to book in one of those rooms? Anybody else with experience staying inside midship on Deck 9? I probably like the Deck 7 location the best, but don't know if it will still be available by the time I book...waiting to book onboard to get the OBC and reduced deposit! Jimnbigd Posted July 23, 2010 #4 Share Posted July 23, 2010 I looked at the room combination you mentioned on Deck 6, and they both hold 3-4 people. Will they allow 2 people to book in one of those rooms? Yes, I think so. We did that last March and also again next March on the Voyager of the Seas. Now, I don't think they would let you just put 2 people in each room, but 2 in one and 3 in the other should be fine. If you go to the Royal Caribbean official website, and start booking a cabin, you can check a box that says something like "show connecting cabins" down near the bottom of the page. You don't have to complete the booking. It's a good way to find available connecting cabins.
