New Adonia (2011)

Does anybody know whether the Adonia ( Royal Princess) which joins the fleet in May 2011 will be having a refit?

As I understand it Adonia will have a refit to turn her from a Princess ship to a P&O one. I would expect they will want her to look pristine before her first cruise with P&O.

In any case, the ship is only just ten years old. She was originally the R Eight, for Renaissance Cruises and went into service in early 2001. She was then laid up in late 2001/early 2002 when Renaissance folded, was re-activated in 2003 as Minerva II for Swan Hellenic, and transferred to Princess in 2007 as Royal Princess. Now she's coming to P&O as Adonia. I expect she's had quite a few makeovers in recent years.
