ruascott Posted July 22, 2010 #1 Share Posted July 22, 2010 I've been searching the forum, but I can't seem to find a definate answer. Is sushi available on FOS? I understand there is something called Jade, and it may be a pay-restaurant, and/or it is an addition to the Windjammer. On FOS do they have BOTH? Is it included for free? Thanks
gmacruiser418 Posted July 22, 2010 #2 Share Posted July 22, 2010 it's been a year since we sailed her, but the sushi was free on FOS. it does cost on others, so maybe things have changed. I haven't seen anything on the boards either.
Aquahound Posted July 22, 2010 #3 Share Posted July 22, 2010 Jade is the first thing you see when you walk in to the Windjammer. It is free and yes, they do have sushi.

famcruiser Posted July 23, 2010 #5 Share Posted July 23, 2010 I'm pretty sure that it's just a dinnertime.
LadyQuasi Posted July 23, 2010 #6 Share Posted July 23, 2010 It's just dinnertime. They don't have fresh fish sushi though, like raw salmon or raw tuna. It's mostly Cali rolls, smoked salmon rolls (my favorite!) and things like that. Jade is a small section od the WJ (so free) and they have a few other Asian selections. Only one night did I go and it wans't there. I usually go after supper at the MDR, to get a few pieces :o
CaroleSP Posted July 23, 2010 #7 Share Posted July 23, 2010 I am a sushi addict; I checked out Jade once and didn't bother again. I much prefer raw. Celebrity has a sushi bar, usually open from about 5-10ish; they do serve raw, will make sashimi if that is your preference (my fave) and have a basic assortment of salmon, tuna, eel, white fish and rolls. Oh, and it is free. they convert an area into a sushi restaurant, nice decorations, bar service if you want saki, etc. Both cruise lines have the usual miso, ginger, etc. Enjoy!
