Alli Cruiser Posted July 23, 2010 #1 Share Posted July 23, 2010 We have been to Athens twice before the first time staying for several days. We will likely take the train to the Acropolis just to see this again. If it is a nice day, we may do the funicular to Lycabettus Hill. After that, I was thinking we might try and find a nice beach in Piraeus. Does anyone have any insight on beaches that would be fairly close to the terminal. We will be traveling with two teenagers and I like to do a mix of cultural, history, and outdoor fun things. Thanks to all for your suggestions. bunzini Posted July 23, 2010 #2 Share Posted July 23, 2010 We have been to the Acropolis too and would like to do something different. Have you done the funicular before? Sorry, do not really know about any beaches.

Alli Cruiser Posted July 24, 2010 Author #4 Share Posted July 24, 2010 Thank you 6 Rug for the info. Bunzini, we did the funicular when we were there before for several days. Some days were very smoggy and visibility would have been reduced. If it is a clear day, the view is great. Enjoy your trip!
