Anyone have fun, possible adventureous excursions that you can suggest for 8/9/12 year olds. We saw several tours we wld like (zip line etc) but they all have age and weight restrictions which we would not meet.

We are on the Radiance 7/30 Alaska cruise, visiting Ketchikan, Juneou, Skagway & Icy Straights.

Any help would be great..Thanks

We took DD when she was 6 to Ketchikan and Juneau. In Juneau we took the public? bus that offers rides to the glacier for a great price! We went up there and spent the day touring the area. Lots of hiking and climbing on rocks. :) DD loved it. In Ketchikan we opted for the duck boat tour. She had a blast. We spent the rest of the day walking around the town.

The budget is no concern list: Ketchikan charter fishing, Juneau whale watching, Skagway Helicopter/dog sledding. Just don't look at your CC when you get back :o

Ketchikan. We went on an Underseas Tour on a semi-submersible - booked thru RCI. If your kids are interested in undersea life I bet they would like it and if I remember correctly it wasn't too expensive.

Skagway. White Pass & Yukon Railway - incredible scenery. There's also a nice little museum downtown with exhibits on the gold rush - good intro for the history before you go on the train.
