I LOVE Hotter Pill. While it is a Spoonerism, like my sign on name (Hon Dorner for Don Horner), it actually spells normal words, which is my favorite kind of Spoonerism, like Shake a Tower for Take a Shower. (It IS Sunday -- for those a little slower on the uptake like me on a lazy day, Hotter Pill is Potterhill. Hey Mo -- who knew?)

Besides, as Brian knows very well, it's all a lack of pies.

Funny but true story.......

We have a place in FL and we used to take the kids there when very young....we now have 6 grandkids from them so years have passed........and I was telling them about Spoonerisms.

As we walked along we met various people including an old friend of my parents.....

Nuff said...............

Brian, Thanks for including me, even if it was on the second round. Since you are in the UK, perhaps you can answer a question for me - I hate to pull you away from your anagrams, but maybe it will give more inspiration. We will be arriving in Dover on the Mariner next July at 8am on a Friday. We would like to take a flight from Heathrow back to Florida which leaves at 1:40pm. I know the driving time is about 2 hours or less, but as it is a weekday, am worried about traffic and I know they want us at the airport 3 hours early. Do you think it is doable, or should we fly out the next day (there are no later nonstop flights)?

Hi Benita

Your journey will be along the M3 and M25 Motorways.

I travel to that area frequently from London going South and I make it a rule NEVER to be on the road, especially the M25, before 1000.

The 3 hour check in is way too long and I use Heathrow frequently and NEVER allow more than 1hr 30 min.

Again depending on your airline you can frequently check in the day before so all you need is Baggage Drop.

You can just never tell and I would suggest either a later flight or the next day to be certain. And satying at Heathrow puts you within 20 minutes of the wonderful town of Windsor and the Castle.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Brian, There are only 2 nonstops a day to Miami and the later one is at !:40. I think we will stay in a hotel by Heathrow and fly out the next day. There are some companies that will do the transfer from Dover to Heathrow and a couple will make a day of it, with stops in Leeds Castle or Canterbury. One even has its offices by Windsor Castle and will drop you off there for a few hours, store your luggage and then pick you up again and take you to the airport. I wish we could spend more time in London, but need to be back at work right after the weekend. Thanks again- if you are still bored, I will let you make an anagram out of "thanks again".

Firstly

A Shaking Tan

Secondly I misread your arrival point. From Dover it is the M2 and M25 and I do not think for one second that the journey can be done in less than 2 hours even on a really good day.

I think their suggestions of Canterbury and Leeds Castle therefore is very sensible en route.
