Ship Path to KW from Fort Lauderdale

We are sailing on Freedom in October. Our first stop is Key West.

 

My husband and I really want to see all the bridges thru the Keys. Will it be possible to view them from the ship?

 

I guess I want to know if we will be close enough to see them and/or will we pass them in the middle of the night or after the sun begins to come up.

Having gone to Key West numerous times on different ships, I can tell you, you probably won't see ANY of the bridges. Since most ships leave the embarkation port at 4 or 5 and travel through the night to get to KW. I don''t think you will see anything. I know I never have. SORRY

Not only the night travel, the cruise ships are quite far out from the Keys until they get near Key West. What you will be able to see is far off lights. That is a pretty sight though.

The bridges are beautiful. I always feel like I am on a cruise ship because on the bridges it is up so high and the view of the Atlantic on one side and the Gulf on the other is spectacular. I never grow tired of the bridges in the Keys.
