njaloha Posted August 14, 2011 #1277 Share Posted August 14, 2011 We are sailing on the Silhouette on 2/10/12. I'm trying to plan or budget (HAHAHAHA! ;o) and would like to know how much a bottle of NON-premium water is on board ship. I couldn't seem to find the answer searching through 64 pages of replies. using the search option. Tanks!
Kwaj girl Posted August 14, 2011 #1278 Share Posted August 14, 2011 Anyone figure out what the difference is between the premium coffee in the classic non alcohol package and the specialty coffee in the premium non alcoholic package? Laura The 'premium coffee' will be the brewed stuff (vs the syrup-add-water served in the buffet or MDR) and the 'specialty coffee' will be cappuccino/espresso, etc.

breti Posted August 14, 2011 #1280 Share Posted August 14, 2011 For what it's worth: My wife, son (13 yo) and I all did the premium packages for our cruise on Solstice this past April (us premium alcohol, his non-alcohol naturally). We debated the cost initially, but are **so** happy that we did it. It was so convenient to just try so many different drinks that we likely never would have tried before (especially at the Molecular Bar). And it was no problem grabbing a large bottle of water before heading back to the cabin; after a few times we had extra bottles in the room all the time. And our son liked hanging out with a group of kids at night where they could go to the various clubs/bars and get all the soda or NA drinks they wanted. We are definitely going to get it again on our upcoming cruise on Silhouette. --Bret
Lsimon Posted August 15, 2011 #1281 Share Posted August 15, 2011 (edited) Anyone figure out what the difference is between the premium coffee in the classic non alcohol package and the specialty coffee in the premium non alcoholic package? Laura The 'premium coffee' will be the brewed stuff (vs the syrup-add-water served in the buffet or MDR) and the 'specialty coffee' will be cappuccino/espresso, etc. Sorry but this is not correct. The premium coffee is the espresso based coffees such as espresso, cappuccino, lattes, americano, etc. My observation is that Celebrity does not have a fixed definition for specialty coffee despite the language used in their descriptions of the packages. The brewed coffee in the dining areas and room service doesn't have a name and has no extra charge so it is not a component of the beverage packages. Here is a link to a post earlier in this thread discussing this. PS1211 Posted August 16, 2011 #1282 Share Posted August 16, 2011 Hi everyone, I attempted to search this thread, but I didn't have much luck. I've purchased the Classic Alcohol Package for my upcoming cruise on the Summit, but I'm confused on one detail. If I purchase a 'not included' drink (ie, more expensive) am I charged full price or just the difference over what's included in the package. For example- on the Classic Alcohol plan if I use my Seapass to get a beer that costs $7, will I be charged $7 to my card or $2? Thanks for any help! Thornbird Posted August 16, 2011 #1283 Share Posted August 16, 2011 You will pay the full price. The "only pay the extra" applies to premium only. Sorry :(

eadien7 Posted August 17, 2011 #1285 Share Posted August 17, 2011 Does anyone know if I can purchase the package now for a cruise that is in Dec of next year and lock in on the price should they raise it again. If I had another cruise planned, I would book it as soon as possible. I hesitated on my November cruise and the price went up. You can always cancel prior to sailing if you change your mind. Thanks Sorry, but Celebrity specifically states that drink packages cannot be shared. So if you both want drinks you would need to buy two packages, or one package and pay for 2nd drinks as-you-go, or (obviously) not get a package and just pay-as-you-go. I locked in the premium package before the price went up in June for my sailing this November. They charged my Amex immediately. Pretty sure that if you charge it, that will hold the price . . . but you have to pay in advance. I would suggest keeping an eye open about price increases and lock it in only if you need to. If I wanted to send him to the bar or the coffee shop to get us each a drink, do I need to be there with him if he has both sea passes? In the past this has not been an issue as long as they have both sea cards. However, Celebrity has just issued a policy change that husbands will no longer be allowed to get drinks to carry back to the cabin. Only wives will be able to do this in the future. So unfortunately you will not be able to send your husband to the bar or the coffee shop to get drinks. But it will be no problem for you to go and get them. Will you please remind your husband that he owes me $50. Edited August 24, 2011 by Crazy Cruzer
