Beaches near La Seyne-sur-Mer

Try Mourillon. When we got off the ship, there was an information booth and a friendly, young French woman asked us if we needed assistance. We told her we wanted to go to a nice beach nearby and she gave us the recommendation and coordinated with the taxi driver. She told us Mourillon was a nice, clean beach with clean sand and also a lovely grassy, shady area. It was only about a 15-20 minute ride.

Our taxi driver was very pleasant and when he dropped us off at the beach, he pointed to a beachfront restaurant "Le Lido", telling us it was very good. He told wrote down the name of the port where our ship was and told us we could have someone from the restaurant call a cab to take us back when we were ready. We noticed Le Lido had outdoor, covered dining, with a private beach (nice lounge chairs, umbrellas, etc.). We went over and inquired about using the chairs and were told they were all reserved for the day. We went ahead and made a reservation for lunch and proceeded to set up our things on the adjoining public beach area (no chairs). Within about 10 minutes, the woman from Le Lido came over to us and said they had a cancellation and we could use the chairs for the day (8 euros a piece, which we thought was very reasonable).

We ended up having a wonderful, relaxing day at Le Lido on the beach - beautiful views, fantastic food and drink and attentive service. If we go to Toulon again, I would definitely call ahead to reserve a spot on Le Lido's beach area at Mourillon!

Thanks for the info. It is good to know there is an information desk right off the boat. Are there many vendors and tour options offered in the area where you get off the cruise ship. We are having a hard time deciding whether to book one f the excursions offered by Celebrity or trying to do something on our own.

This sounds great. How much was the cab fare?
