Megans Bay Questions

How long will it take to get from the port Havensight by cab to Megans Bay? How much is the cab ride? Will it be easy to get a cab back to the port?

It only takes about 10-15 minutes max. Can't remember the cab ride, but it does cost $3 to get in to Magen's. The cab drivers sit there and play dominoes all day, so there are always a ton of cabs ready, in my experience.

The rates for shared taxi should be:

$8.50 for one person, $6 each person in a group.

Take the Bus

When you get off the Ship there will be loads of touts, ask for Magens bay they will direct you onto the correct bus,these buses are fun no sides to them just bench seats, cant remember how much but cheap anyway, you do have to pay to get onto Magens bay, loads of buses running all day to get you back to the ship.

To avoid possible confusion with names...

 

The 'buses' Scotsman refers to are Taxis. Specifically the Open-Air Safari Taxi Vehicles. They adhere to the standard regulated taxi rates.

 

We have a Public Bus system, which is something all together different then taxis. The Public Bus doesn't go to Magens Bay.
