ever crashed the past guests party?

Recommended Posts

I wonder if anyone was ever able to get themselves into that party.... do they check? How can they tell? Its sorta silly, but I could see a very tipsy person trying.

why? for a free drink? we stopped going being they were so boring.

Hard to get a drink even when you have an invitation:cool:

I never have that problem. First...find the area that they are coming out of with fresh trays. Second....tip the waiter $5. Third.....watch people get mad at you as the waiter puts down several drinks at your table. Fourth...watch people get mad at you again when the waiter puts down more drinks later.

heh heh, so that's how it is done! I'm going to recreate this next cruise and if it works, I shall lift my drink or two or three and toast thee!

We love the past guest party. We never knew about it on our first cruise (short little 3 day cruise) to even attempt it but probably wouldnt have tried to crash it. Here is a sampling of our beverages on our most recent cruise's past guest party. Yum! They were pretty strong and I ended up having to take a siesta shortly there after and I am not a lightweight.

I want to say those were the blue margaritas. They were soooo good and strong.

Oh, and by the way, we had no problem being served our drinks and we got multiples without tipping extra beforehand. We actually had to tell our server ENOUGH!!! :p

We just go to the bar and ask them for what we want.

I too think the only reason people are there is for the free drinks. To be honest they don't have anything else for you to do while you are there. The music they play for people to dance to is not my kind of music.

They should have past guest bingo (for free), or maybe a past guest game show to help kill the time. I bet if they had bingo people would drink a lot less because they would be too busy looking at their cards.

or a judgement? on others?

Your board name reminds me of a supposedly true joke. A woman in Detroit registered her daughter for school with a first name of Lee-A. When asked how to pronounce her daughter's name she said, "Its Leedasha, the dash don't be silent!":D

People continually post that the PG party is for Past Guest "and" guest, but every time anyone posts an invitation on the board, it reads, "Joseph Smith" period. No "and" guest.

There is no guest on it. My husband and I cruised first and then I took my 18 year old daughter on a "Mom and me" cruise. I thought she would be let in with me but that was not the case. I had the invitation and they said I could go in but she couldn't. She said that was OK and for me to go myself. I had never been to one so I said alright. She asked me for $20.00 to go to the casino and play until I was done. Feeling guilty I gave it to her. When I got there she was cashing in the $1137 dollars she won on slots.......it cost them quite a bit to exclude her, she certainly wouldn't have had that much to drink at the past guest party.:p

A group of friends and I did crash one sort of! We were all invited to the first party, all past guests with many under our belts. After it was over, we just sat there talking, relaxing, not in a hurry to get anywhere. After awhile, people just started coming in. We just sat through the second one. It made for a good laugh.

Don't waste your time trying to crash the party....

I find a nice quiet bar on the ship while the hoards are trying to mooch as many free (not so good drinks) at that party they can swill.

I agree. My husband usually goes and grabs one "free" drink (he can't pass it up!) and then we leave and find a quieter place to order some good drinks.
