Rome on Your Own Excursions

Hello all,

 

I will be taking a Rome on Your Own excursion in a few weeks and wanted to know where the companies drop off. I have read that some drop near Vatican City and some near Villa Borghesse.

 

Has anyone had experience with this shore excursion?

We did Rome on your own with Princess. The bus dropped us off and picked us up at an underground bus terminal near the vatican.

It's been several years, but Royal Caribbean dropped me off at the same underground bus terminal near the Vatican as the previous poster mentions. The "guide" then walked us up to street level and oriented us to the location (just a short walk south of St. Peters Square. We met at the same location later that day for the return trip to the ship.
