Vancouver cab sizes

I read in another thread that cabs are mostly compacts. 5 of us will be taking a cab from a city center hotel to the port. What problems should we expect in finding a cab (or other transportation) for 5 people and their luggage?

You can get a limo at the airport for about $50. They're just on your right as you exit to the street.

Alternately before leaving the airport, wander down to the 7-11 (in the terminal building), and buy a book of 10, two-zone transit tickets ($31 IIRC), and then wander across the street to the parkade, where you're notice a train on the roof. This becomes a subway after a few stops, and drops you 3 blocks from Canada Place. It's roll on roll off, with elevators at every station, so if you can roll your luggage, this is the way to go.

Reason to buy the tickets at 7-11 is that there's a $5 surcharge per ticket for tickets bought on the platform at YVR (so they're $8.75/ea, so a book of 10 is much cheaper than 5 one-ways stupid but true)

The op is transfering from a downtown hotel to the port and I am guessing that is Canada Place. About 7% of Vancouver's cab fleet is made up of mini-vans but they can only carry 4 pax so your are likely faced with 2 cabs and the cab fare from most downtown hotels to Canada Place will run about $10 per cab.
