On Board Credit Question on RCCL

Recommended Posts

Hi, I will be sailing Voyager of the Seas this December and booked during the WOW promotion several weeks back. They offered a $100 shipboard credit for the booking. This is a non-refundable credit, meaning that if it's not spent by the end of the cruise, it is lost. In addition, my travel agency gave me a $50 shipboard credit for the booking. This is a refundable one, meaning that if I don't use the entire credit, it will be refunded to me on the credit card I used to pay for the booking.

My question is: if I spend only $120 on board for the entire week, is the first $50 coming from the refundable credit and the remaining $70 coming from the non-refundable one, meaning I have $30 I must spend onboard, or do your charges first get deducted against the non-refundable one, meaning, in this example, I would get $30 refunded back on my credit card at the end of the cruise?

Thanks for any insight, and yes, we spend lightly on board. I know for most people, this would never be an issue, but we don't end up spending much, if anything, on board.

Cheers!
