Who sailed on the Crown Cruise Line?

Some of our favorite ships were on the Crown Cruise Line.

 

The Crown Jewel on December 13, '92 out of West Palm Beach sailed half empty because of storms in the northeast preventing people from getting to the ship. The Christmas tree in the lobby swayed with the waves.

 

The Crown Dynasty also had other names. We sailed through the Panama Canal on it in May '97.

 

They were great small ships.............

 

Crown Jewel Crown Dynasty (Crown Cruise Line: 1993-1995, 1999-2001) Crown Dynasty was built in 1993 for Effjohn International's Crown Cruise Line, and spent time on charter to Cunard under the marketing name Cunard Crown Dynasty. For the 1997 season, she was chartered to Majesty Cruise Line and operated as Crown Majesty, on cruises which had already been arranged for Crown Dynasty, but at the end of that season her charter was passed to Norwegian Cruise Line as the Norwegian Dynasty. At the end of the charter in 1999, she reverted back to being the Crown Dynasty, until sold to Fred Olsen Cruises in 2001 as the Braemar. antry Photograph Crown Majesty at Vancouver, in an interim livery.
