AC category cabins on Ocean and Pacific Princess

I am not sure which cabin numbers you are referring to but we had an AC cabin, number 8000, just recently on the Ocean Princess in May when we did the 31 day Capetown to Dover cruise. We were under the internet cafe and it was just so quiet, we didn't hear a thing.

We have been in Cabin 8040 on the Pacific Princess and we did hear the deck chairs being moved around quite loudly at 6am each morning and then again at 6pm at night. We have also been in cabins 8055 and 8051 and we have heard the trolley being moved along around 6.30am each morning but other than that there was little noise.

I love the mini suites on those ships but other than getting 8000,8001,8002 and 8003, there will usually be some sort of noise above you. If you want complete quiet, then you have to go down to Deck 7 with the normal verandah cabins. They do not have any noise at all though the cabins are a lot smaller especially the bathrooms.

From One Aussie Gal to Another,

We are also in Cabin 8000 on Pacific Princess, from LA to Sydney in Jan 2011. So glad to hear you didn't experience any noise and also that you love the minis.

Looking forward to our first trip on Pacific Princess.

Nicki,

You will have a fabulous cruise. The mini's are fantastic and the position of 8000 was great. We always enjoyed watching the Officers and the Captain on the Wing Bridge when leaving port.

Being a smaller ship, even though the dining room and the Buffet are at the other end of the ship to your cabin, it only takes a minute to get there. You are very convenient to the Cabaret Lounge, the Internet Cafe, Gym, Card Room and Spa.

Enjoy.

Has anyone run into noise issues from the buffet restaurant above AC category cabins? (ie. buffers, vacuums, chair dragging at night) Thanks!

I was on the 6th floor (in a BC) right above the dining room last spring for a month and never heard a sound. It was a great room.

I spent the better part of June on the Ocean Princess in cabin 8054. This is right under the Panorama Buffet. We heard an occasional cart being pushed across the floor above us, but no other noise at all. Not a problem.

We were in 8038 on the Ocean Princess once and its right under the entrance to the buffet. We never heard any noise from there at all.
