Crossing the Pacific in March

trams

Recommended Posts

We have booked the Pacific segment of Saga Ruby's world cruise. We will be joining the ship in Sydney on Mrch 4th after flying from London.

Aftr calling at various ports in New Zealand we will be calling at Samoa,Fiji, Fanning Island, Hawaii, arriving in Los Angeles on 1st April.

We have had good trips on Saga Ruby before. We were wondering whether March is the best month to cross the pacific. Any information from you guys from down under would be appreciated.

The Pacific Ocean is often well "pacific" it is the end of our cyclone season so there is always that chance but it is nice time of year. In Sydney the heat and humidity will be gone..Auckland and the north island of NZ are a similar climate. It can be very cool in the south island of NZ at any time of year and the seas in that area can be rough as well as there is nothing between NZ and the Southern Ocean and south pole. I hope you will see Milford Sound as it is a totally amazing place.

It sounds like a great itinerary.
