Independent transport to Totem Bight?

Anybody know of options to get from Ketchikan docks to Totem Bight State Park on a Sunday?

Buses are great, but not on Sunday.

Taxis seem to be around $40 for a 10 mile trip. Is that right?

 

Other options?

Rent a car. I have used Alaska Rental Car a few times in the past. They pick up at the dock. Would make the best use of your time. I would expect to pay more with a cab??

Thanks BQ! Yes, the $40 is ONE way with the cab. Makes NYC seem cheap.

We tried to get a cab, but none would stop. And in the port parking lot, the wait was really long. So, we hitchhiked. We got really lucky, nice ride both ways. I don't recommend counting on it.
