Fantastic news. We have one that is round, folds down flat, and I imagine it looks just like one one of those pop-up laundry hampers on x-ray.

 

 

And once its in your cabin, you're fine and we didnt wheel ours around, just left in the the room. I put 36 cans of "soda" in mine once we were settled in.

Why question an inch or half an inch - the size is 12X12X12 period. If it is collapsed in your suitcase it is a non issue - it is not going through the scanner, what you do with it once you are on board it is up to you - fill with ice for drinks, fill with toys, fill with clothes, fill with air - they don't care. If you want to take a chance then go for it but don't be surprised from what I have heard if you have to leave it behind.

Why would a 12x12x12 cooler need wheels? It's tiny.

 

Because I put bottled water in it and it weighs a small ton.
