Thinking about renting a car when we are in Victoria. Any suggestions on who to go with and how far away are they from the peir?

Go to BookingBuddy.com. I've found this site to be helpful in comparing prices on lots of travel-related things. It is easy to navigate, and a lot of the car rentals are there.

Try Budget rent a car it's next to the Strathcona Hotel a short cab ride from Ogden point were the cruise ships dock.

We rented a van from Budget in Victoria last May. They picked two of us up right at Ogden Pier, took us to their offices to sign the paperwork, we drove back, picked up the rest of our "party" and were off. Upon return, we took the van to their offices, and they had someone drive us all back to the pier.

 

 

It's probably not more than a 10 minute drive from the pier and easy enought to find, only two different streets, if memory serves me correctly.
