Verizon cell phone use in Southern Caribbean?

Did you have to do anything to your plan to be able to send and receive text messages? We don't want the call capabilities - but would like the text capabilities.

Its all or nothing, it depends on what you actually use. You do need to have international roaming turned on for your phone to do either. Just realize that if you do turn this on, people can still call you and leave messages which can cause charges! Also, if you have a smart phone, there could be other charges applied just by turning it on.

Your best bet it to call your provider, tell them where you are going and what you would like to be able to do. They will look at your plan and phone and let you know what is best for YOU.
