What's the name of Carnival's Port in NOLA?

Carnivals main NOLA port is at the end of Julia Street (just outside the quarter). If the wharfs are full, though, carnival operates out of the erato street terminal, which is much farther away from the french quarter

Thanks for the quick replies.

 

Can one of you tell me what the street # is? I'm trying to get driving directions from our hotel to the ship on Mapquest. They won't look up simply Julia St Pier.

Travel Time:

  • 16 miles from the New Orleans International Airport; travel time is approximately 40 minutes.

DIRECTIONS TO THE PORT

From Interstate 10 (I-10 East or West)

 

  • Exit at US 90 Business Westbank, also known as Pontchartrain Expressway.
  • Proceed to Tchoupitoulas Street/South Peters Street exit.
  • Turn right on Tchoupitoulas Street.
  • Turn left on Henderson Street.
  • Turn left on Port of New Orleans Place to Julia Terminal Port - Berth #1.

PARKING:

 

Construction of the new terminal and parking structure is expected to be completed November 2005. Until then, the Port has made arrangements for nearby parking with 24-hour security, baggage handling and shuttle service.

 

Proceed directly to either the Fulton Garage or the Convention Center Lot. Due to construction, there is no accommodation for curbside drop-off. When you park, Sea Caps will check-in your luggage and transport it to the ship. Shuttles are available to bring you to the terminal. When you return from your cruise, board the parking shuttle with your luggage.

 

Fulton Street Garage

  • Multi-level facility with entrance on Convention Center Boulevard
  • $12 per day
  • Cars only
  • Baggage check-in and free shuttle to/from the terminal

Convention Center Lot

  • Fenced, lighted surface lot with 24-hour security patrol with entrance on Annunciation Street
  • $12 per day
  • Cars and over sized vehicles
  • Baggage check-in and free shuttle to/from the ter

Cotton.....actually my family is staying at Drury Inn and taking a cab but I have other family members staying at Quality Inn Midtown and I told them I would get directions for them. :)
