HELP! Cabin switch question - JS on Explorer

We currently have a JS hump cabin (not center of the hump, but starboard on the aft side of the "hump") on Explorer of the Seas.

 

1028 (JS, forward port side) is a handicap cabin and just opened up.

 

Two questions:

 

1. If we switched from a hump JS cabin to a handicap JS cabin, will we get bumped if a true handicapped person needs the cabin? And then lose our original hump cabin?

 

2. 1028 looks like it has a larger balcony from the deck map. Is this true?

 

3. What are the pros/cons of being in a handicap cabin, aside from being so far forward?

 

4. If on Deck 10, do you hear any noise from above?

We were in JS room 1330 deck 10 and had no problem with noise and we were very close to the elevators. What was also nice is you only had to go up 1 flight of stairs to get to the windjammer. Our balcony was bigger compared to our friends who where 4 rooms down from us they also had JS. The only down fall was you couldn't have any "FUN" on the balcony because people from the windjammer could see right onto our balcony. :)

baycruiser: generally speaking, with only three weeks to go until your cruise, if no one who is handicapped has booked a handicapped-accessible cabin, RC is not going to hold it. I think that your TA should clarify that you are NOT handicapped if you decide to book it.

 

The differences include (but may not be limited to): wider door and entry hall; bathroom does not have separate shower enclosure - the shower is on the same level as the floor so that a wheelchair can just wheel right in. This results in a lot of water all over the place - some have said that they make a "dam" of towels to keep the water from spreading. No bathtub, of course, which a JS would have.
