Himself Posted August 20, 2010 #3 Share Posted August 20, 2010 Thank You David: Last Sunday I was at a sendoff gathering for Seminarians of the Diocese of Joliet and I told the Sister who is Chancellor that it would be my birthday Friday. I asked her how old she thought I would be. She said: "That is a dangerous question but I would say you would be about 52." I told her I would be 71 and she could not believe it. Again thanks for the good wishes and thanks for the update as to where the fleet will be tomorrow.

Himself Posted August 20, 2010 #5 Share Posted August 20, 2010 Tracie ABD: I have always looked younger than I was. My sister is six years younger than me and there was a time in my late teens and early twenties when my mother would be asked "Which one is older?" The year I graduated High School we were a K of C Picnic and my mother mentioned I had just graduated and the response was: "What high school is he going to?" We can joke today but then I was furious. My mother's father did not start to grey until he was 75 pushing 76 and I do feature him more than a little. I had a cousin who had the same maternal grandfather and he died three weeks before his 68th birthday and did not have a grey hair in his head. He also looked younger than he was. His hair was cold black.

Himself Posted August 20, 2010 #7 Share Posted August 20, 2010 All is not perfect. I do have diabetes and I did have tripple by pass surgery three years ago. If that did not happen I would probably be a young looking corpse. Thank God I had it.
dumbaxel Posted August 23, 2010 #8 Share Posted August 23, 2010 Oh yeah, I forgot about those "day of the week" elevator mats. VERY helpful, since i tend to lose track of time on a cruise.
