startpacking Posted August 20, 2010 #1 Share Posted August 20, 2010 Will be on a Carnival ship and I am trying to avoid ship's excursions as best as possible. I did contact Royston who I learnt about on this forum, but he is on vacation when I will visit St Kitts. Are there usually vendors at the pier selling excursions? Thanks in advance. yayvacation! Posted August 30, 2010 #2 Share Posted August 30, 2010 There are tons of tour operators right inside the pier, we did this on a whim last year, we had no plans for St. Kitts and stopped to listen to a guy with a van who offered tours for $20 pp. We are sooo glad we took the tour, it was amazing and we got to see a lot of really amazing sights! St Kitts Luvah Posted August 30, 2010 #3 Share Posted August 30, 2010 Hi There, just like most ports the vendors in St Kitts are right on the dock. Rest assure you should be able to negotiate exactly what you are looking for.

How long of a tour and can you tell me what you saw. This is what we like to do when we visit the islands.
Fblack Posted September 5, 2010 #5 Share Posted September 5, 2010 When you signed up for a tour on shore, did you have to wait until they "packed" a van with passengers? Or could you pay a little more and get a private tour?
allentownahoy Posted September 5, 2010 #6 Share Posted September 5, 2010 When you signed up for a tour on shore, did you have to wait until they "packed" a van with passengers? Or could you pay a little more and get a private tour? This is my question too. I have mobility limitations and all the tours, ship and independent spend more time exploring certain sites than I can handle yet I would like to see the island scenery. I also don't need to end up with beach time as I have that planned for other ports.
